01 TelstraClear Pacific Indoor Event Centre








This is a $55 million development at Manukau City, Auckland [alongside the Southern motorway] which opened late 2005.

The Campbell team was contracted by the Pacific Trust and Manukau City Council to develop a use for a prominent 55 hectare site and to develop the concept for an iconic facility. Campbell was contracted over a 6 month period to undertake the following:
  • Develop a unique event centre concept
  • Undertake the market study, including local and international research
  • Apply convention, tourism and stadia expertise
  • Undertake the preliminary market feasibility
  • Prepare the financial feasibility
  • Develop a strategic Business Case for funding
  • Arrange numerous presentations to stakeholders and funders
The concept for the Multi Purpose Event Centre was in its entirety developed by the Campbell team. The Architects were Creative Spaces Ltd and Phillip Cox and Partners of Sydney. 

The TelstraClear Pacific Event Centre was such a successful concept that the venture was profitable in its second year.
